Great for Skylar maybe one day he be in your position by working hard, and doing what's right,I'm glad that some young up and comers are showing there on the hunt for management roles,by working hard,we need better mangers desperately, the last time I spoke to one he said I don't work that hard, wrong example to set for your employees, ever wonder why they don't work as hard its from higher ups who just do the bare minimum, just to get a bonus,I think that the company should rethink the bonus not just for store manager and assistant manager, who do you think stocks the store runs the depts.not just the manager and assistant, reward the entire store and the store would run entirely different, instead of employees burned out and frustrated by lack of good management,as an assistant manager at my second job I work hard to show what is expected by doing the job to my best even after my full time position here,my work ethic is my calling card, who I am and strive to be,if you let your employees down constantly nothing will ever change, take note manager and assistants managers, there is always people who are wanting your spot, step up!

The science of learning and development tells us that belonging is a critical building block. What if every child learned in a place that fostered pride in their identity? It’s already happening at the NACA Inspired Schools Network!#futureofeducation #futureoflearning #k12innovation

In a recent edition of Exchange Every Day dedicated to embracing families, communities, and culture, Monica Wells, our family and community program administrator, shared her deep connection to families and communities and how it positively impacts children's success."Strong, authentic relationships between our families, students, and educators are key. We must speak life into our students, cheer them on, teach them the skills, and provide the tools they need to be prepared for the future. We must show examples of the power, importance, and necessity of community." Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gc7ur8uu

We started hosting summer camps in 2016 to give students a unique three-day opportunity to meet their agents in person. I had the privilege of being a camp counselor this year, and I loved it! Here are my big three takeaways:1 - Even though camp did not cost anything directly to our students. It does not mean students did not pay a price to be there. The students we serve often work full-time or are the primary babysitter for their younger siblings. As a counselor, I got to watch students check in on grandparents, call siblings to make sure they had what they needed, and change into work clothes so they could go straight to work when they arrived back home. I want to thank every family and student who invested their time with us so that we can all grow together.2 - I asked several campers why they chose to come to camp, and the primary reason I heard was to meet new people. We often give students a hard time for being glued to their phones or not interested in social interactions. But when students have an opportunity to meet new people outside of their circle, they genuinely light up. Students are interested in new people, cultures, and ideas. But also, what was inspiring was how positive and supportive they were of people they just met.3 - Ninety-nine percent of the work we do at SSA is online. After camp, I am always reignited by the question - How do we make students feel safe, seen, and supported online the way they feel at camp? Camp is only three days, and it is hard for students to duplicate that environment on the go as they return to the real world. This is why I am inspired by our team both at camp and at their homes. Our team is working hard to create a digital environment for students to have a support system wherever they are in life and for whatever they are going through. #education #educationleadership
