We are aware of the excitement surrounding Alia Bhatt's arrival in Hollywood. There was a lot of anticipation for this film - from her sharing the screen space with Wonder Woman Gal Gadot to the fans' craze over leaked pictures of her from the shoot.
Heart of Stone, however, appears to be a rehash of other thrillers with hardly anything new to offer and the general public's reaction affirms this opinion.
The plot also lacks any innovation. It's almost like a week old dish, served in a new box.

So, was it a good debut for Alia Bhatt? Well, not really. But before we dig deeper into it, lets understand how Heart Of Stone ended.

Ending Explained
Parker, who is portrayed by Jamie Dornan, and Rachel Stone (Gal Gadot) both work for foreign intelligence agencies. Although it is initially implied that both of them were employed by MI6, it is later discovered that this was not the case. In reality, Rachel works for The Charter, a non-governmental organization that maintains peace by putting an end to conflicts. Parker, however, is a double agent who despises The Charter.

His sole objective in life is to destroy the organization. The Heart is The Charter's artificial intelligence, or AI, which makes decisions. It is Rachel Stone's responsibility to defend it and keep outside forces at bay. Parker, however, succeeds in obtaining the desired object and makes use of its abilities to eliminate a number of The Charter members.

He starts his plans and shuts off the airflow in the organization's underground bunker. As a result, he is Rachel's direct rival, and the two start a battle to own The Heart. Parker is killed after Rachel shoots him. She succeeds in preventing the deaths of The Charter members. The Heart is then placed alongside the Charter in its proper place by Rachel.

Rachel encounters Keya, an agent who was collaborating with Parker to bring down The Charter, before delivering a doll house to the daughter of a deceased coworker. The reason Rachel approaches her is because she changed her position toward the end of the movie. She allows Keya to continue working for The Charter but with two restrictions. She then invited Keya to join her team.
The movie concludes with Rachel, Keya, and the Jack of Hearts forming a new The Charter team and collaborating on a mission.
Alia Bhatt’s Hollywood Debut - Hit Or A Miss?
In simple words, it is a miss. The 22-year-old Keya sat on her laptop and did everything she wanted to. Let's face it, it is upsetting to see Alia Bhatt play a cold part as she makes her Hollywood debut. She has given us films like Highway, Udta Punjab, 2 States, and more. While there are attempts to portray Alia as a fierce young woman who is a pro at IT, she only comes off as an immature and unbothered youngster in a Bollywood film. The plot is also the problem because it offers nothing novel and creates no suspense despite being a thriller.

Badly written, and you can do better considering your talent.
Another issue is the complexity of the characters. While Alia Bhatt's excessive drama and below average acting is tiresome, so is Gal Gadot's expressionless performance. And also, while fighting in the air with Gal, Alia’s faint screams made ‘shivaa shiva’ play in my head (read annoying). Alia Bhatt's splendor is undoubtedly wasted in the heartless, meaningless movie Heart of Stone.

Similar to how we may try to cram one more biscuit into a package that's already full, the film's creators wanted to include What happens next? It crumbled.
Final Verdict
If anything holds this otherwise bland movie together, it's the stunning cinematography. The movie doesn't need much attention, so you may watch it while you're doing other things. Heart Of Stone is a film that has little lasting impact due to its bad dialogues, poorlyexecuted scenes, and shoddy plot.
